어느 날, 한 여자는 Bruce Holmes에게 전화했다.

그녀는 그에게 “나는 당신의 사건에 관해 중요한 것을 알고 있어요.”라고 말했다.

그 전화는 그를 시골에 있는 그녀의 집으로 차를 몰고 가게 했다.

그녀는 그를 따뜻하게 맞이했고 그를 방으로 들어가게 했다. 갑자기 그녀는 밖에서 문을 잠갔다.

그 방은 창문이 없었다. 벽들 중에 두 개가 움직이기 시작했다.

그것들은 그에게 다가오기 시작했다. 그는 주변을 둘러보았고 방 한 가운데에서 무엇인가를 발견했다.

여기에 아홉 개의 열쇠가 있다.

“더 무거운 세트에서 두 개의 열쇠를 골라라 그리고 그것들을 저울 위에 놓아라.

만약 한 열쇠가 다른 열쇠보다 더 무거우면, 그것이 맞는 열쇠이다.

만약 두 열쇠가 무게가 같다면, 맞는 열쇠는 저울 위에 없다.“

Lesson 6 Find the Right Key!

One day, a woman called Bruce Holmes.

She said to him, "I know something important about your case."

The call made him drive to her house in the country.

She greeted him warmly and let him go into a room. Suddenly she locked the door from the outside.

The room had no windows. Two of the walls began to move.

They began to close in on him. He looked around and found something in the middle of the room.

Here are nine keys.

They look the same, but only one of them can open the door of this room.

The right key weighs more than the others.

The keys are all the same weight.

Here is a balance. It is very old and about to break.

You can use it only two times.

The door lock is also about to break.

You can try to open the lock only once.

If you don't find the right key, today will be the last day of your life.

After a few minutes, Holmes got out of the room and caught the woman.

She cried, "How did you find the right key?"

Holmes smiled and said, "It was a piece of cake."

"Divide the keys into three sets."

"Choose two sets and place them on the balance.

If one side is heavier than the other, the right key is in that set.

If they weigh the same, the right key is in the set on the table, not on the balance.

Pick the heavier set."

"Choose two keys from the heavier set and place them on the balance.

If one key is heavier than the other, that is the right key.

If both keys weigh the same, the right key is not on the balance."
