한국 사람들은 이웃을 만나면, 일반적으로 ‘안녕하세요’라고 말한다.

다른 나라 사람들은 서로 어떻게 인사할까?

실제로 그 인사말은 무엇을 의미할까?

몽골에서 가장 흔한 인사말은 ‘Senbeno' 이다.

‘Senbeno’는 원래‘당신의 가축들은 잘 있나요?’라는 의미이다.

몽골에서는 가축들이 집 안에서 사육된다.

그것들은 몽골 사람들의 생활에서 중요하다.

아프리카 탄자니아의 마시이 족 사람들은 사막에서 살고 물은 그들에게 가장 중요한 것이다.

그들은 물을 찾기 위해 여기저기로 옮겨 다닌다

그들은 서로 만나면, ‘Sopai’라고 말한다.

그것은 ‘나는 당신이 물을 찾을 수 있기를 바랍니다.’라는 의미이다.

‘Namaste’는 인도 사람들에 의해 사용되는 인사말이다.

그들이 누군가에게 이 말을 할 때, 그것은 ‘나는 당신을 존경합니다.’라는 의미이다.

그들은 대개 손을 가슴 높이에서 함께 모으고 고개를 약간 숙인다.

영국에서는 날씨가 빠르게 변할 수 있다.

예를 들어, 아침에는 해가 강하게 빛날 수 있지만, 나중에는 비가 내릴 수도 있다.

그러고 나서 비가 갑자기 그칠 수도 있다.

그래서 영국 사람들은 좋은 날씨를 바라며 ‘Good morning’이라고 말한다.

인사말은 문화와 관련이 있다.

그래서 인사말의 의미는 나라마다 다를 수 있다.

또한, 인사말은 그것의 본래의 의미를 잃을 수도 있다.

하지만 모든 인사말은 대개 사람들을 환영하고 그들에게 좋은 일이 있기를 기원하기 위해 사용된다.

When Koreans meet their neighbor, they generally say An-nyeong-ha-se-yo.

How do people in other countries greet each other?

What do the greeting actually mean?

In Mongolia, the commonest greeting is Senbeno.

Senbeno originally means "How are your animals?

Animals are raised in the house in Mongolia

They are important in Mongolians' lives.

In Tanzania, Africa, the Masai people live in the desert and water is the most important thing for them.

They move here and there to find water.

When they meet each other, they say Sopai.

It means "I hope you can find water.“

Namaste is a greeting which is used by Indian people.

When they say this to somebody, it means "I respect you.“

They usually put their hands together at their chest and bow a little.

In England, the weather can change quickly.

For example, in the morning the sun can be shining strongly, but later it can rain.

Then the rain can suddenly stop. 

So English people wish for good weather and say "Good morning.“

Greetings are related to culture.

So the meanings of greetings can be different from country to country.

Also, a greeting can lose its original meaning.

However, all greetings are usually used to welcome people and wish them good things.
